Paris Olympics Day 6 Live Updates: Lakshya Sen knocks out Prannoy to advance into round of 8

After a riveting clash against the third seed Jonatan Christie, India's Lakshya Sen will be in action on Thursday (August 1) against his compatriot HS Prannoy in the round of 16.     A disappointing day for Indian fans as four medal contenders suffered exits today.

    Swapnil Kusale started a day with historic bronze in the men's 50m rifle 3 position event.

    Indian hockey team suffered their first loss at the Paris Olympics 2024 after losing 1-2 against Belgium. 

    The star boxer Nikhat Zareen, ace badminton player HS Prannoy, shooter Sift Kaur Samra and two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu suffered elimination on Day 6 at the Paris Olympics.

    With three bronze medals, the Indian team finds itself at 43rd position in the medals tally.
