Meet sports greats who signed off on a high

New Delhi: Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar who bid adieu to his 24 year old international cricketing career on 16th November 2013 after his 200th Test joined the list of sportsmen of all genres who retired on a high. Sachin Tendulkar made 74 runs in his final inning against the West Indies in front of his home crowd and before his fans could see his batting for one more last time, India defeated West Indies by an inning and 126 runs and wrapped up the 2nd Test and two-match series within 3 days. Michael Schumacher: F1 great, Schumacher‘s final race came in 2006 Brazilian Grand Prix. He got his last trophy from soccer great Pele, who kissed him on his cheek after honouring him with the Brazilian GP trophy. 6. Steve Waugh: Australian cricketer Steve Waugh signed off on a high after 18 years of international play.
