Lebanese Olympian Skier goes topless, probe ordered by sports minister

New Delhi: Lebanon sent two athletes to compete at Sochi, skiers Alexandre Mohat and Jacky Chamoun. But Jacky got herself at the centre of controversy when her topless pics went viral on the internet with another skier Cherine Nejm who competed in Vancouver in 2010 but isn't skiing this year. According to the skier, three years ago they posed for a calendar in Switzerland for photographer/Olympic skier Hubertus von Hohenlowe, a German prince who is representing Mexico in Sochi. In the photoshoot Chamoun appears to be topless. In most of the pictures her hands, arms or ski are strategially placed. On this, a Lebanese media site, reported that Chamoun and Nejm had posed for the calendar, calling it a scandal, and so on.After hearing the news, Lebanon's Sports and Youth Minister has ordered an investigation into revealing photographs and a video in which the country's Olympic skier is seen topless. Faisal Karameh's order was carried by Lebanon's National News Agency on 11th February, a day after a video appeared on the Internet showing Jacky Chamoun and another female Lebanese skier topless and posing for a photographer on the slopes of Lebanon's mountain resort of Faraya, according to the uploader. Chamoun is one of two athletes competing for the Arab country in Sochi. The 22-year-old skier acknowledged on her Facebook page that she posed for a photographer three years ago. She said the video and photos circulating were taken at a photo shoot for an Austria ski calendar.
