The speed may cross 350 km/hour, as Formula one car is made to boost up jetlike speed on the circuit. No doubt, for making this super-car, the franchisees have to spend millions of pounds. First, let's know about the parts of Formula One car which make it the most expensive sporting equipment.The Formula One car is built with many high end parts which costs a franchise a whopping 1.150 million pounds. Starting with its components, the most expensive among parts is chassis which is made up of carbon fibre monoscope and it costs around 400,000 pounds. Now let's come to the gear box. This machine has a 300,000 pounds gear box which enables a driver to change gears without using clutch plates.It has 100,000 pounds cooling system which restricts the car from getting heated even at high speed.Front wing including nose cone that creates about 25% of the car's total downforce comes at 100,000 pounds.Its steering wheel is a complex component having over 30 buttons which comes at 30,000 pounds.Rear wing including DRS overtaking aid which helps increase the downforce by 30 per cent comes at 50,000 pounds.F1 car covers approx 300 kms in a race and for that it consumes 48-50 gallons of fuel. It's fuel tank comes for 70,000 pounds.Finally the hydraulics system which operates at a pressure of 3,000 psi comes for 100,000 pounds.All these parts make a Formula One car roar on the circuits and take their drivers at rocket speed.
