Asian Games 2023 Day 3 Highlights: India add three medals to the tally with historic Gold in equestrian

Day 3 has come to an end in the Asian Games as far as Indian contingent is concerned where they pocketed three medals, including a historic gold in equestrian dressage event.

Afghanistan's Hotak Khalid beat India's Suraj Yadav to qualify for the semi-finals in men's Wushu

The Indian women's team beat Pakistan 3-0 in squash team event.

The Indian men's team of Mahesh Mangaonkar, Saurav Ghoshal and Abhay Singh beat Qatar 3-0.

Indian team of  Srihari Natraj, Likith Selvaraj, Sajan Prakash and Tanish Matthew finished fifth in 4x100m medley relay clocking the best Indian performance with 3:40:20 on the clock.

Surya Bhanu Partap Singh bowed out from the quarter-finals of men's 60kg event losing 2-0 to Korea's Kim.

Narender Berwal beat Oomatbek Uulu Elchoro of Krygyztan with a knockout punch in first round of men's 92+ kg category.

Kushagra Rawat and Aryan Nehra finish bottom of the table. Aryan finished 7th with 15:20.91 on the clock while Kusharga clocked 15:44.61 to finish last.

Table topper Vidit Gujarathi loses to China's Yi Wei, who now has more accumulated points (5.5) than the Indian, who has 5.0 points.

India lose to Pakistan 3-0 in the Volleyball 5th/6th men's classification match with the final of the men's event to follow between China and Iran. Japan has already sealed the bronze.

The spunk from the Indian volleyball seems to be missing, which we saw in the group stages as Pakistan won the second set as well 25-20.

Indian pair of Yuki Bhambri and Ankita Raina made light work of their Pakistan opponents Sarah and Aqeel winning 6-0, 6-0

Sumit Nagal beat Kazakhstan’s Bebit Zhukayev 7-6, 6-4 to advance to men's singles quarter-finals.
