New Delhi: The Sports Ministry on Wednesday cleared a contingent of 135 members, including 87 athletes, for the Para-Asian Games, beginning in Incheon, South Korea from Saturday 18th October to 24th October.
"The contingent also includes three guide runners, 40 coaches and escorts and five officials," a ministry press release stated.
"The Ministry of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, Youth Affairs and Sports has cleared a contingent of 135 members including 87 athletes, 3 guide runners, 40 coaches and escorts and 5 officials for Para-Asian Games, 2014 at Incheon," a PIB release said.
Indian contingent will take part in events of Athletics, Badminton, Swimming, Shooting, Powerlifting, Para Table Tennis, Blind Judo, Archery and Wheel Chair Fencing.
The first batch of 60 members has already left for Incheon. Some of the remaining members of the contingent left yesterday and the rest will leave today.
