New Delhi: A 17-year old was recently suspended by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) for misbehaving with a hotel staff member during Indian squad's training session in Italy.
The gold medalist junior shotgun shooter will now not attend the World Shotgun Championships in Lima, Peru and the Asian Championship in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The shooter was already serving a notice for bad conduct.
``The shooter misbehaved with the hotel staff. The matter was reported to us by the team manager. He later admitted his guilt to the team captain and also apologized to the maid in front of the squad," NRAI president Raninder Singh, told a leading national daily.
Singh also added that the case has been reported with the athletes' commission. "We will wait for the commission's report before taking further action," Singh told.
