Diamond League 2023 Final: Jakub Vadlejch wins title for third time, Neeraj Chopra finishes 2nd

Neera Chopra finishes second with an 80.90 metre throw and Jakub wins his third Diamond League final title. Peters Anderson and Thompson Curtis register fouls in the last attempt. Mardare Andrian records an 81.79 metre throw and Oliver finishes the final in third place with an 80.98 metre throw. 

Neeraj records an 80.74 metre throw, not at his best ahead of the last attempt. Mardare Adrian goes 80.28 metres in the fifth attempt but Curtis Thompson and Oliver Helander register fouls. Vadlejch remains at the top in the standings with a throw of 82.58m in the 5th attempt. One to go...

There's not much difference between Neeraj and Jakub as the duo have the last two attempts to claim the glory today.

Neeraj famously dominated the recent World Athletics Championships 2023 last month to win the maiden Gold medal for India. He recorded a brilliant throw of 88.17 meters in the finals to beat Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem and entered the history books.
