Asian Games 2023 Highlights: Parul, Annu Rani's Gold in athletics help India's tally reach 69 after 10 days

A day that began with a win in men's cricket quarter-final against Nepal and 13-0 win in women's hockey ended with nine medals for India including two Gold. Track and Field continued to add medals to India's tally as the discipline has contributed 22 now, equalling shooting's feat.

Asian Games 2023 Highlights: Parul Chaudhary, Annu Rani's Gold medals in athletics help India's tally reach 69 after 10 days

Asian Games 2023, Day 10 Highlights: Yashasvi Jaiswal opened India's day with a maiden T20I century as the men's cricket team beat Nepal in the quarter-finals. Men's kabaddi team began with a massive win while the women's hockey team beat Hong Kong 13-0 in Pool match as the day began on a good note for India. The first medal came in Canoe sprint, a bronze and the day ended with six medals in a span of one hour including two Gold medals. Athletics as usual contributed the most with Parul Chaudhary's Gold medal in women's 5000m and Annu Rani's women's javelin throw headlining the same while Tejaswin Shankar broke the national record with 7666 points in men's Decathlon while winning the Silver medal. 

The tally is now 69 and the Indian contingent is two medals away from breaking the Asian record, which is 70 in Jakarta 2018. Join us for more tomorrow with Neeraj Chopra in action among other athletes.
