Deepa Malik on Monday bagged a silver medal in the women's Shot Put - F53 event at the 2016 Rio Paralympics Games, making her the first Indian female to bag a medal at the Paralympics.
The Shotputter clinched the medal with her personal best throw of 4.61 metres. Overall, she is the third Indian medallist at the Games.
On this historic victory, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag on Monday took to Twitter to congratulate Deepa Malik's medal-winning performance at Rio Paralympics and for making us all proud.
Sehwag, who is known to laud performances of Indian athletes, again took to social micro-blogging site to tweet an inspirational message for Deepa for coming through the game spectacularly.
