Here's something you do not see on a regular basis. WWE superstar John Cena stepped into the cricket nets and only to face the deliveries of former Australian vice-captain Shane Watson. The 16-time WWE champion John Cena was in Sydney, Australia to promote an upcoming animated film 'Ferdinand' tried his hand at cricket and struggled a bit as he held the cricket bat aloof, just like a baseball bat.

John Cena took to Twitter to describe his activity as 'poor' in the nets and surprised Nicholson St Public School in Sydney as he opened about being bullied as a kid and what prompted him to take up wrestling as a career.

Read some #Ferdinand, played some Cricket (poorly) and had a great time the past few days in Sydney until the teacher took attendance in class and I was marked absent.

Watson shared a post on Twitter as well where the all-rounder is giving the wrestler his expertise on how to play cricket. Watson's caption read “Awesome day with @JohnCena. Only the best bats for this champion!”

Even though Cena's stance at the crease was all wrong, he did manage to make contact with the bowler's delivery. In a tweet, the Big Bash League side said, “We’re pretty sure @JohnCena could hit a few sixes in the @BBL for the @ThunderNation.”

The 7th season of Big Bash League will commence from December 9 with the first match between Sydney and Melbourne. Whereas WWE will host their live event in New Delhi on December 9 as well. WWE legend Triple H will be back in action to face former champion Jinder Mahal with many more exciting matches lined up for the day.
