World number five shuttler PV Sindhu will play in the semi-finals of the India Open Super Series tournament in New Delhi today.
The Rio Olympics Silver medallist, who is seeded third in the competition, will take on second placed Sung Ji-hyun of South Korea.
Both players have met 10 times in the past, with Sindhu winning six of those games. However, in their last meeting at the Dubai World Superseries Finals last year, Sung had defeated Sindhu.
Sindhu had advanced to the semi-finals yesterday after beating Saina Nehwal, 21-16, 22-20. Sindhu is the only Indian left in the tournament.
