Mumbai: The opening session of the fourth season of the Pro Kabaddi League has received a huge response with more than 80 percent of the stadium seats already sold for the first two days of the league. For the third and fourth days, bookings are going on in full swing.
The league announced a shift of venue one week prior to the opening match, owing to unforeseen circumstances at the stadium at Pune.
The opening day match will be between hosts Puneri Paltan and Telugu Titans at the NSCI SVP stadium here.
Kailash Kandpal, team manager, Puneri Paltan, expressed elation over the ticket sales and in a release on Friday said, "We've seen an amazing response to our team’s home games despite the last minute shift of venue from Pune to Mumbai."
"The seamless ticket exchange and refund process run by our partner Kyazoonga has ensured that fans who had already purchased tickets to the Pune games are able to cheer for the team in Mumbai.
"We've arranged special fan coaches/buses that will bring these fans in droves to and from Mumbai. Fans from Mumbai, Thane, Kolhapur, Shirdi, Ujjain, Indore, Bengaluru and even from Dublin and New York have purchased tickets. These are exciting times indeed for the Puneri Paltan team and its kabaddi fans," he added.
Expressing his excitement, a Kyazoonga spokesperson said, “We’re delighted to have served our clients and customers first by ensuring an orderly ticket exchange and refund process due to the change in the venue. The fans are delighted in knowing that they can still support the team at the new venue in Mumbai.”
