New Delhi: Indian women's team today thrashed Hong Kong China 13-0 in their opening Pool A match of the 8th Asia Cup played in Kuala Lumpur.
Indian forward Rani scored seven goals alone.
India led 9-0 at halftime.
India's highest scorer Rani scored in the second, sixth, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 34th and 58th minutes.
Other scorers for India were : Kirandeep Kaur (5 min), Vandana Katariya (13, 18, 39 min), Poonam Rani (69 min) and Joydeep Kaur (70 min).
India will now take on China in their next match on Sunday.
