Bhopal, Jun 17: Punjab will face Karnataka, while Haryana meet Jharkhand second semi-finals of the first national senior (men's) hockey championship being conducted by Hockey India.
In the last quarter-final match played last night, Haryana defeated Orissa 3-2 through a golden goal.
Sandeep Singh scored twice, including the golden goal, and Gurmail Singh scored once for Haryana, while Ankit and Stanley scored a goal each for Orissa.
Earlier, Punjab secured a semi-final berth by defeating Bihar 9-0 and Karnataka knocked out star studded Air India 2-1 to make it to the last four. Jharkhand had defeated Railways 2-1. PTI
