New Delhi, Dec 20: India started their campaign on a winning note in the 2nd Asian Champions Trophy being played at Doha, Qatar.
India defeated China 4-0 in their opening match of the tournament on Thursday.
India scored through SV Sunil (13th minute), VR Raghunath (17th minute Penalty Corner & 52nd minute Penalty corner) and Birendra Lakra (53rd minute).
A fine field goal by SV Sunil in the 13th minute and a penalty corner conversion by Vice-Captain VR Raghunath in the 17th minute gave India 2-0 lead at the halftime.
India put the game out of China's reach when they scored two goals within a minute of each other.
VR Raghunath scored via penalty corner in the 52nd minute and Birendra Lakra found the nets on a deflection from Rupinderpal Singh in the next minute.
India will now face Japan in their next game to be played on Friday.
