New Delhi: England are full of confidence ahead of their Hockey World League Final quarterfinal clash Wednesday against Belgium after topping Pool A with three wins over World No.1 Germany, New Zealand and hosts India.

The Englishmen practiced hard in motivated spirits at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium here Tuesday after which captain Barry Middleton spoke to the media.

“Being at the top of the pool and the excellent game that we have played so far gives us great confidence which is essential to play well in the upcoming matches. We are definitely looking forward to delivering good results,” said Middleton.

“We have played against Belgium many times and hence are aware about their talent. They are a pretty strong squad and it is really going to be a tough game. We will be playing our usual game and we have good chances.”

Speaking about the quarterfinal, coach Bobby Crutchley said his boys are ready to put up a good show against World No.5 Belgium, who finished fourth and last in Pool B.

"It really feels good to win all the matches and be at the top of the pool. However, it is not advantageous as we do not know how strong the teams are in the other pool. We are getting the momentum and are prepared to put up a good show further," said Crutchley.

"Belgium has a strong team and they have had some tight games and threw tough competition for their opponents but lost at the last moment. It is going to be a tough fight tomorrow and we are going to have a good game."
