Mumbai City FC pulled off a dominating comeback 1-3 win over Mohun Bagan to clinch the ISL 2023-24 title on Saturday. After going 0-1 down at halftime, Mumbai City recorded three goals without conceding any in the second half at Kolkata's Salt Lake Stadium.

Jorge Pereyra Diaz equalized in 53' minute and then substitutes Bipin Singh and Jakub Vojtus scored one each to complete Mumbai's stunning comeback. After missing out on the Premiership title with a one-point lead to Mohun Bagan, The Islanders claimed the Championship for the second time in their history.

Mumbai enjoyed the possession and also recorded comparatively more shots but the hosts took the first half with in-form forward Jason Cummings scoring at 44' minute. Mohun Bagan struggled to maintain possession in the middle with some loose passes and a lack of tactical efforts in the final third.

In the second half, Alberto Noguera's loft cross found Diaz who beat Manvi to shoot a breakthrough goal for the Islanders. The Marines were exposed on many occasions in the second half but Mumbai managed to register only four of their 20 shots on target. Bipin Singh then stunned the home crowd with a goal in the last ten minutes with another substitute Jakub Vojtus providing an assist.

After completing a comeback, Mumbai kept pushing hard to put the game to bed. Vojtus found one for himself in injury time with an easy finish from a close range as Mumbai sealed off an easy 1-3 win to clinch another silverware.
