The defending champions Argentina will kick off the Copa America 2024 against Canada at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Thursday, June 20. Lionel Messi-starred Argentina will target the record 16th title while Canada are making their debut in one of the oldest and biggest international tournaments in the world.
The USA are hosting the tournament for the second time in history and fans will witness six new teams from North America participating in the 48th edition of the tournament. Brazil, the nine-time winners, will be without their captain Neymar due to an injury but are tipped to mount a title challenge once again with the likes of Vinicius Jr and Alisson Becker leading the start-studded side.
Argentina famously equalled Uruguay's record for most titles after beating Brazil in the previous edition of the tournament in 2021. The Argentine captain Lionel Messi needs only five goals to surpass legendary Norberto Méndez and Zizinho's record for most goals in the tournament.
Copa America 2024 Groups and Format
