Bulawayo, Oct 25: Malcolm Waller hit 99 not out to give Zimbabwe a one-wicket win over New Zealand with a ball to spare in a dramatic finish to the third one-day international on Tuesday.
Waller scored his highest ODI score, and Zimbabwe chased down more than 300 for the first time in an ODI to overhaul New Zealand's imposing 328-5.
Waller combined for a 112-run partnership with Elton Chigumbura (47) to take Zimbabwe toward an unlikely victory after it was 183-5. It was the hosts' first win of the tour.
Zimbabwe lost four wickets near the end—including Ray Price in the last over—but Waller hung on to take a single off the penultimate ball to win.
Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson made centuries for New Zealand, which still wins the series 2-1.
