New Delhi: The first leg of World Cup 2015 is nearing its completion and the line up of the   teams that will proceed to the knock out stage are pretty much clear.

But one team which is looking to be in the most unpredictable position of whether  it will  make  to the quarter final stage or not is the two time former World Champion West Indies.

Skipper Jason Holder will have a tough week ahead as he will have to see that other results turn accordingly to send his team into the quarter-finals.

Holder who was made the skipper just ahead of the quadrennial sporting event has already seen his team's inconsistent performance consistently.

West Indies started their campaign on a horrific note after the team lost to Ireland in their opener which was the first big upset of World Cup 2015.

The team quickly recovered from this shocking loss and thrashed Pakistan and Zimbabwe in the next two matches. Chris Gayle in the process became the first cricketer to score a double century in the World Cup history.

But the team once again lost the momentum as it lost to South Africa by a huge margin of 257 runs and than a defeat at the hands of Team India.

All the above results now meant that  West Indies have to now rely on  on Ireland losing both their final pool matches to reach the knockout stage, even if they beat United Arab Emirates in Napier next Sunday.

Jason Holder while interacting with the media said "I can only control what I can control, whatever happens in those last preliminary games is beyond my control." "We've got to sit and wait and see how the table looks before our last game, and then we come up with a plan and a strategy how we go forward."

"What I can control is the game against UAE, and I can assure you that we are going to win that game by all means, and we just need to be aggressive and finish this preliminary round in a good manner." Jason added.
