Sydney: Organizers of the 2015 Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand announced ticket prices Wednesday, saying they expect more than a million people to attend the tournament's 49 matches.
John Harnden, chief executive of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, said prices had been set to ensure as many people as possible had the chance to attend the "once in a generation" event.
Children's tickets will be available to all matches including the final, and would start at 5 Australian dollars ($4.70) while adult tickets begin at A$20 ($18.60) for pool games.
Harnden said "we've made sure the event is affordable with more than two third of all tickets $50 ($47) or under."
Tickets go on general sale from Feb. 14.
