Ian Botham, one of the great all-rounders and former captain, too took to twitter and termed England's performance as pathetic.
He tweeted, “ when are we going to pick selectors to pick a team for 1 day format. Time for change.”
He also questioned the run out decision of Chris Jordan. Kevin Pietersen, former England batsman, expressed shock over England losing to Bangladesh and crashing out of the World Cup here Monday.
Pietersen in his tweet wrote, “I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS.” He went on to say that Bangladesh deserved to win this game after displaying some gutsy batting.
In a Pool A match Bangladesh posted 275/7 in 50 overs after Mahmudullah hit a brilliant ton to become the first Bagladeshi to score a century in the World Cup.
England were bundled out for 260 in 48.3 overs. Iand Bell(68), Joss Buttler(65) and Woakes (42 no) were the only batsmen who put up a fight aganst Bangladesh still considered minnows of cricket.
For Bangladesh Rubel was the most successful bowler taking four for 53. Pietersen was sacked from the England squad last year during their Ashes tour on disciplinary ground. England suffered a humiliating 0-5 defeat.
