Brisbane, Australia: Ireland skipper William Porterfield won the toss Wednesday and sent United Arab Emirates in to bat in the World Cup Pool B match at the Gabba.

Ireland is coming off a surprising four-wicket win over the two-time champion West Indies in its opening match, and has had a long break to prepare for the game against the United Arab Emirates, one of the three other so-called Associate countries in the 14-team tournament.

The UAE lost to Zimbabwe last Thursday in its first game at the Cricket World Cup since 1996.

Each team made one change to its lineup, with Alex Cusack coming in for Ireland and Manjula Guruge for the UAE.
