Georgetown, Guyana: Guyana has lost the third test between the West Indies and New Zealand due to a dispute over who controls cricket in the South American country.

The teams were scheduled to play the final test at the Providence Stadium, Georgetown, from June 26 to 30. However, the West Indies Cricket Board said in a statement late Saturday that it will move the game because of a bill recently passed by parliament in Guyana.

The Antigua-based WICB, which is the umbrella body for cricket in the Caribbean, said the bill gives government too much control over the administration of the game in Guyana.

No alternative venue has been named.
