New Delhi: It has been more than a week that the seventh edition of IPL 7 has started and has already started to make headlines and grab eyeballs of the viewers. The matter went to the court and finally after many trials and asked to pay Rs 100 crore bank guarantee.The team went for a complete overhaul in this edition. A local head coach in the form of Sanjay Bangar was appointed to guide the team.The Punjab team did a smart pick up of local and international players and is looking a serious contender to win IPL 7.They have made some smart choices in player's auction and the correct mixture of Youth and experience. The team had picked up seasoned players like Virender Sehwag, Lakshmipathi Balaji.On the other hand the team has picked up young players like Manan Vohra,Mandeep Singh that needs to be mentioned .The foreign pool of players also look well balanced. In the bowling front the team boast of Aussie speedster Mitchell Johnson .They most smart buy done by team Punjab was that of Aussie all rounder Glenn Maxwell who is looking to play only in one mode—attacking mode.The reigns of the team has been given to another Aussie George Bailey who is also the skipper of the Australian T20 team.The recent performances by Kings XI Punjab will surely a sign of danger for the other much fancied teams who are hoping to lay their hands on the coveted IPL trophy.
