Dubai, Jul 12: Virat Kohli remained the top-ranked Indian batsman at the third spot even as skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni dropped a rung to be sixth in the latest ICC players rankings issued on Friday.

Kohli and Dhoni, both of whom showed good form during India's title-triumph at the just-concluded ODI tri-series in the West Indies, are the only Indians inside the top-10 of the ICC list.

Among the bowlers pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was adjudged Man of the Series in West Indies for picking up 10 wickets, broke into the top-20 after rising 29 places. He is ranked 20th in the list.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is the highest ranked Indian bowler even though he has slipped a couple of rungs to fifth.

Sri Lanka spinner Rangana Herath jumped 14 places to 11th and his skipper Angelo Mathews moved up nine places to 13th in the bowlers' rankings.

Outside the top 20, Darren Sammy in 29th (up by nine), Ravi Rampaul in 30th (up by one), Peter Borren in 55th (up by two) and Kevin O'Brien in 58th (up by 12) made upward movements.

The bowlers' table is still headed by West Indies' Sunil Narine, followed by Saeed Ajmal in second place and England's Steven Finn in third spot.

In rankings for batsmen, ex-Sri Lanka skipper Kumar Sangakkara moved up a place to fifth. Another former Sri Lanka captain, Mahela Jayawardene, is back in the top 20 after he moved up three places to 18th.

The batting table is still headed by South Africa captain AB de Villiers, with Hashim Amla in second place.
