After scoring the hundred, Virat surpassed Sachin Tendulkar to register unique records. Kohli continued his brilliant form and entered the prestigious list of top 5 ODI run getters as well. In the match, Kohli remained unbeaten at 166 runs off 110 deliveries, including 13 boundaries and 8 sixes.
Interestingly, Virat Kohli has scored three of his 46 ODI centuries on January 15. He scored his 27th ODI century on January 15 2017, his 39th ODI ton on the 15th on January 2019 and the third century on the same date came in 2023 when he smashed his 46th ODI hundred.
Kohli's previous ODI century was registered in the first ODI, when he smashed 113 runs against Sri Lanka. Virat broke Sachin Tendulkar's record to score most centuries on home ground by scoring his 21st century in India.
