New Delhi: Team India cricketer Virat Kohli has been appointed as first Brand Ambassador for the Border Security Force.
"Virat Kohli has been bestowed the honour for his outstanding contribution in the field of sports and his commitment to BSF on various occasions", says a BSF press release.
"Virat Kolhi has set an outstanding example by his hard work, supreme dedication, valiant fighter spirit, supreme concentration and perseverance, the qualities which are synonymous for a BSF leader", said the press release.
Accepting the honour, Virat Kohli said: “It is indeed a great honour for me. As an Indian, I am very proud to be associated with this patriotic force that is doing a great service to the nation by guarding its borders and I feel proud to be part of BSF"
Expressing his eagerness to interact with the Border Guards by visiting various border outposts, Kohli said he was looking forward to familiarizing himself with the BSF.
