INDIA ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS
India have done it. These young girls have made history in South Africa. For the first time ever, India have lifted a World title in Women's Cricket and this will be remembered for a very long time. They were unparallel in the final as the spinners first dominated and then the batters stood on the occasion to close the deal. India are Champions of the inaugural U-19 Women's T20 World Cup after winning by 7 wickets in the final. It all started with Titas Sadhu and Archana Devi, who jolted the English lineup. Thereafter, the other bowlers joined the party as they were helped by some brilliant fielding. England were bowled out for just 68 and then the openers, especially Verma, gave a good start. England found a couple of wickets but Tiwari and Trisha kept India on top. With 6 overs remaining, India won by 7 wickets. It was a pleasure bringing this match to you. I hope you enjoyed the journey to this title. We will meet you soon, I Varun Malik, sign off. Ta, ta.

India bowl England out
So, India have bowled England out for just 68 runs in the final. This was such a brilliant display for India and England would be greatly disappointed. The pitch was not doing much and it looked the bowlers made life difficult for batters. Right from the word go, India took wickets and England never got a notable partnership. They tried to up the ante after a wicket but lost more in the process. India just need 69 runs in the final to clinch the historic title in South Africa. Can they do it? Back with the chase in a moment.
