Earlier, West Indies dismissed the visitors for 208 in 48.3 overs. Sunil Narine took four wickets for 40 runs, while Rampaul took 3 for 38. Captain Angelo Matthews scored 55 runs.

Replying, opener Chris Gayle went on a big run-hunt stumping the Lankan bowlers. Charles made 29, and Bravo remained not out on 29.
