The sixteen leaders who will lead their team in ICC T20 World Cup

New Delhi: With the new entrants Hong Kong, Nepal and UAE in the ICC World T20, 16 teams will be competing in the twenty two days long event.Let's take a look at the leaders who will be leading the charge of the various nations 1) M.S.DHONI (INDIA) – Fresh from overseas defeats at the hands of South Africa and new Zealand, captain cool Dhoni has more than a point to prove when he leads team India in the ICC World T20 to be held in Bangladesh. He led India to victory in the inaugural World T20 in 2007 would hope to repeat the feat.2) MOHAMMAD HAFEEZ (PAKISTAN) – He will once again lead the team after the 2012 World T20 where Pakistan was defeated by Sri Lanka in the semis. Pakistan has won the tournament in 2009 under the captaincy of Younis Khan.3) GEORGE BAILEY (AUSTRALIA) – He will be leading the team second time in World T20. Earlier in 2012, his team was defeated by West Indies in the semis who are the defending champions this time. 4) DARREN SAMMY (WEST INDIES) – The present champions will try to defend their trophy and they will be once again led by the all rounder Darren Sammy who will try to prove a point that winning the trophy in 2012 was not a fluke. 5) STUART BROAD (ENGLAND) – The Britisher will be playing as a pace bowler and a captain for the team and will try to repeat the scene of 2010 when England won the T20 world cup under Paul Collingwood.6) FAF DU PLESSIS (SOUTH AFRICA) – He will be leading the team for the first time in any major tournament. After the recent test defeat by 2-1 from Australia, the team will be looking to win their maiden title.7) BRENDON McCULLUM (NEW ZEALAND) – After the complete 5-0 whitewash of India in ODIs, Kiwi captain would like to add one more major achievement in his pocket. 8) DINESH CHANDIMAL (SRI LANKA) – The Asian champions will look to pocket in another major trophy. This time the team will be led by another young captain Dinesh Chandimal and look to cross the final hurdle this after remaining runners up in the last edition.9) MUSHFIQUR RAHIM (BANGLADESH) – After showing up the great fight against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup, home team captain will try again to impress the crowd with the new spirit.10) WILLIAM PORTERFIELD (IRELAND) – Irish team will look for some major upsets in the tournament under Porterfield who is also a big hitter opener for the team.11) BRENDON TAYLOR (ZIMBABWE) –The wicketkeeper batsman will try to repeat the heroics of 2007 in which he played a crucial role to defeat the then world champions , the mighty Aussies. He will also have the additional duty of motivating a team which has not been playing so much international games in the recent past.12) MOHAMMAD NABI (AFGHANISTAN): The land rocked nation has been in the news for creating upset in the recent Asia Cup by defeating a test playing nation Bangladesh. The team will be looking to carry on their performance in the shortest format of the game. 13) PETER BORREN (NETHERLANDS): The man in orange will be led by a New Zealand born cricketer. Their main aim will be to grab eyeballs in a nation which has produced world class soccer players.14) JAMIE ATKINSON (HONG KONG): Another wicket keeper batsman will be leading the national team. He has played in the county cricket but will have an international experience that is going to help him and his team for further exposure.15) KHURRAM KHAN (UAE): The associate nation will get a proper understanding what it takes to be in the big league when they will get to rub shoulders with the big boys of the game.16) PARAS KHADKA (NEPAL): The Himalayan nation which is the latest entrant of the game will try to prove a point and also try to win hearts of the people.
