Sharjah, United Arab Emirates: Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews won the toss and elected to field first against Pakistan in the third one-day international at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

The five-match series is tied 1-1 with Pakistan winning a high-scoring thriller at Sharjah on Wednesday by 11 runs before Sri Lanka came back with a nail-biting two-wicket victory at Dubai on Friday.

Fast bowler Umar Gul recovered from knee surgery and will be returning to international cricket after nine months. He last played against South Africa in March.

Gul joined the Pakistan team on Saturday after proving his fitness and form to the selectors in a domestic four-day first class match by taking 11 wickets. He will replace Sohail Tanvir.

Sri Lanka named the same side that successfully chased down 285 on Friday.
