Colombo, Jul 31: Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews has won the toss and elected to bat first on Wednesday in the fifth and final one-day international against South Africa at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
Sri Lanka has already secured the five-match series 3-1 and has rested three top players for the dead rubber.
Batsman Mahela Jayawardene, fast bowler Lasith Malinga and spinner Rangana Herath have been rested. Opening batsman Upul Tharanga, who played the fourth game, has been dropped.
Their places are taken by Angelo Perera, Suranga Lakmal, Sachithra Senanayake and Kusal Perera.
