South Africa will square off against Bangladesh at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in the ongoing World Cup on Tuesday, October 24. The Proteas got the winning momentum back in their corner after registering a thumping 229-run win over the defending champions England at the same venue on Saturday, October 21.
The game against the Three Lions turned out to be an exhibition of dominance from South Africa. Their batters and bowlers dictated terms in the fixture and it resulted in a clinical win for the side after suffering a heartbreak against the Netherlands in Dharamsala in their previous match. Since they have already played a game at the venue, it is going to hold them in good stead ahead of the match against the Shakib Al Hasan-led side.
On the other hand, for Bangladesh, the game on Tuesday is yet another opportunity to come back to winning ways and bring their World Cup campaign back on track which looks derailed at the moment. Shakib, who missed the previous clash against India hit the nets leading into the match against the Proteas and might as well make a comeback into the playing XI.
