Cape Town, South Africa: South Africa bowled West Indies out for 329 and then lost opener Dean Elgar in an eventful morning session on day two of the third and final test at Newlands on Saturday.

After Steyn picked up two of the four remaining West Indian wickets to record figures of 4-78 and resign the tourists to a below-par total, Jason Holder trapped Elgar lbw for 8 on the stroke of lunch to leave South Africa 48-1.

The West Indies began the second day on 276-6, and although they were able to add quick runs, it took South Africa less than 10 overs to wrap up the innings.

South Africa made a brisk start to its reply thanks to Alviro Petersen's fluid 26 not out, before Elgar's wicket set it back.
