Batting first, the home team made 315 for the loss of 4 wickets with Ingram hitting an unbeaten 105.

Captain A B de Villiers made 65, before he was caught by Younis Khan off Saeed Ajmal. Hashim Amla made 43 runs.

For Pakistan, captin Misbah ul-Haq was the highest scorer at 38 runs before he fell to McLaren caught behind by de Villiers.

Kleinveldt took the wickets of  Nasir Jamshed, 25, Umar Gul, 2, Shahid Afridi, 34, and Saeed Ajmal, 0.

Shahid Afridi made a last-ditch stand,  and was the last man out for 34 runs.
