Mumbai: Sachin Tendulkar made an appearance at the Wankhede Stadium, scene of his emotional farewell from cricket in November last year, to talk to Mumbai Ranji Trophy team members after they were stunned by Jammu and Kashmir by four wickets in their season opening Group A game.
The retired champion batsman was at the ground on the invitation of Mumbai coach and former India teammate Pravin Amre.
"I was there to spend some time with the Mumbai team. I was asked by Pravin Amre to come and speak to the boys after the game," Tendulkar informed the media.
Tendulkar retired from all forms of cricket after his 200th Test match against West Indies at the same venue, after 24 years of playing at the international level.
