Melbourne, Dec 26: Sachin Tendulkar's fans are so obsessed with his 100th international hundred that they have missed out on a very interesting piece of statistic.
Sachin, who has so far logged 51 centuries in Tests and 48 in ODIs, also has 27 first-class tons to his credit. His grand total of centuries thus stands at 126 - nine more than Don Bradman's career tally of 117.
There were, of course, no ODIs in Bradman's days. Of Don's 117 hundreds, 29 came in 52 Tests, while the rest came in first-class cricket. Incidentally, Bradman was 39 when he completed his hundredth hundred.
Sachin, who is on the verge of his ton of tons, is 38.
In terms of international hundreds, former Australia captain Ricky Ponting, with 69 tons, to his credit, is a poor second to Sachin.
