RCBW vs GGT WPL 2023 Highlights: Bangalore crush Gujarat as Devine powers second win

And the Royal Challengers Bangalore have registered a victory in an authoritative fashion. What power hitting that was from the opener Sophie Devine. She smashed 99 in an innings that will be remembered for a log time. She just missed out on a century but she had done the most part of the work. Heather Knight and Elyyse Perry then helped the side get home without any hiccups. So Bangalore have 2 wins in 7 games, equal to what Gujarat have. They are still alive and so is everybody else. Oh, she has just missed a well deserving hundred. She is disappointed to go back on 99 but what a knock that was. Surely one of the best this league will ever see. 

Gujarat have got the first wicket as their captain strikes. Mandhana walks back. But this a wonderful platform set and Bangalore are cruising away with this. Devine is punishing the bowlers. 

And Bangalore are off to a fiery start. Smriti Mandhana has finally found her feet right and is going very good. Meanwhile, Devine is as usual going string. Bangalore are at 77/0 after 6 overs. This is the second best powerplay by any team in the tournament so far.

And we are back for the chase. Mandhana and Devine will look for a solid start, and especially Mandhana as she has not fired in the tournament so far.

And Gujarat Giants have finished strong here. A wonderful set of contributions from the batters. It was not a fiery start as they were at 45/1 after 6 overs. But Wolvaardt and Ash Gardner powered the middle phase as they scored at around 160 SR. Then Harleen Deol and Dayalan Hemalatha came and helped GGT finish at 188. Captain Sneh Rana said anything around 160-165 would be a par total. So Will they be able to defend bed Bangalore's chances or do RCB have something left? Back with the chase!

And she has got another big fish. This time it's the dangerous Gardner, who walks back. This was pitched full and on middle, Gardner did not get her bat on time as the ball kissed the pads. Umpire had no hesitation but Gardner wanted to review. No bat and all three reds meands she has to go back.

And Shreyanka Patil has done the trick for RCB. She has got the well set Wolvaardt as Bangalore look for a little comeback. No Harleen still as Hemlatha comes in.

Second fifty for Wolvaardt in the tournament. She is turning out to be a brilliant opener for them. She was very good today as well. Played the ball on merit and anchored the innings well so far. She needs to carry on and set a strong total.

Gujarat are going well at the moment. They are near about 8-run an over and are setting a strong platform for a big total. Wolvaardt and Meghana are still in the middle, with the former aiming for a fifty.

End of powerplay and Gujarat are at 45/1 after the first 6 overs. A decent start but they would be disappointed to lose Dunkley early. Meanwhile, Wolvaardt is going well.

Sophie Devine gets the first wicket of the match. She gets Sophie Dunkley out bowled. Dunkley was timing it sweet but she wanted to scoop this behind but gets beaten as the ball disturbs the timber.

The GGT openers are looking for a good start. Sophie Dunkley has infact provided them with a move as she gets 11 runs off Devine's first over.
