New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday appointed former cricketer Ravi Shastri as an interim Team India coach for Bangladesh tour starting June 10.

Kings XI Punjab head coach in IPL, Sanjay Bangar has also been appointed by the board as batting coach.

Bharat Arun will take the responsibility of bowling coach during the tour.

BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur made the announcement today.

Yesterday, batting stalwarts Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman were included in a newly constituted advisory committee by the BCCI.

Shastri has been playing the role of Team India Director since England tour last year till ICC cricket World Cup 2015. He has played 80 Tests and 150 ODIs for India and was part of the Indian side, which lifted the 1983 World Cup.
