Visakhapatnam: Skipper Dwarka Ravi Teja missed out on a well-deserved ton as Hyderabad reached 281 for six against Andhra on the opening day of the group C Ranji Trophy match, here Sunday.
Ravi Teja played 167 balls to hit 13 boundaries before he was castled by right-arm swing bowler Bandaru Ayyappa. The other 50 plus score came from opener P Akshath Reddy, who hit 55 with the help of nine boundaries adding 70 runs for the opening stand with Tirumalsetti Suman.
For Andhra, DP Vijaykumar (2/32) and Bandaru Ayyappa (2/60) were the primary wicket-takers.
