Sakibul Gani hit a brilliant triple hundred and scripted a World Record as he became the first player to hit 300 on his First-Class debut.

Bihar batted Sakibul Gani scripted history on Friday as he became the first player to score triple-century on first-class debut.

Gani achieved the feat in the ongoing Ranji Trophy Plate Group match against Mizoram here at Jadavpur University Campus 2nd Ground, Kolkata.

The batter scored 341 runs off just 405 balls with the help of 56 fours and 2 sixes. He maintained a strike rate of 84.20.

Who is Sakibul Gani?

Sakibul Gani (born 2 September 1999) is an Indian cricketer. 

He made his List A debut on 7 October 2019, for Bihar in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy. 

He made his Twenty20 debut on 11 January 2021, for Bihar in the 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

The previous highest was 267 by Madhya Pradesh's Ajay Rothera in Dec 2018
