Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ijaz Butt will leave for India later on Wednesday to meet BCCI officials and ICC President Sharad Pawar but there is no official word on what is on the agenda during the surprise visit.
A board official only confirmed that Butt would be leaving for India today but said he had no idea about what the agenda was for the visit.
But sources said that Butt would definitely be meeting with Indian cricket board officials and the President of the International Cricket Council, Sharad Pawar.
"One can expect that Butt is trying to drum up support for Pakistan's stance on the spot fixing issue while at the same time, one can say Butt will try to again convince the Indian board officials to play against Pakistan at neutral venues maybe even to raise funds for the flood victims in Pakistan," the source said.
The source said the income Pakistan is expected to get from the World Cup 2011 will also be discussed with Pawar. PTI
