A win well led by the RCB openers and then by the bowlers. PBKS were dealt with regular blows but were in hunt with the striking they were doing. Siraj has cleaned Harpreet Brar with a length ball from over the wicket. Brar wanted to play it on the leg side but could not get anything on it and stump lights go up. 28 needed off 15. We are more than half-way stage in the chase and PBKS are in trouble at the moment. They have lost half of their side now. Though they are scoring at a good rate and have scored 90 in 11 overs, they would have liked to have some wickets. Anyway, 85 runs are needed off 54 balls.

PBKS are now losing the plot here. They have gone 5 down now. 2 run-outs. It was Harpreet, who was run out in the 6th over, and then Curran in the 10th over. 

Harpreet Singh Bhatia and Prabhsimran Singh are in action for PBKS right now. They are at 40/3 after 5 overs. Prabhsimran hit a six off the final ball of the 5th over.

Siraj has now got the big hitter Livingstone out LBW. The umpire yet again gave it not-out but RCB again sent it upstairs. this was a good-length ball pitched outside off. Livingstone tried to smash it on the leg side but gets beaten and is out LBW.

Hasaranga comes and has got the wicket on the first ball. He cleans up Matthew Short. This was a googly from Hasaranga as Short wanted to take him on as he came down the track. Ball finds the gap between his bat and pads and Punjab lose 2 now.

Siraj has struck in the first over. Pitched on a good length on the leg stump and hit Taide's pads. The umpire thought it was not-out and Kohli sent it upstairs. Three reds and RCb have got their opening wicket.

The Punjab openers are out in the middle. Prabhsimran has been called as impact sub for Chahar, while RCB name Vyshak as their impact sub in place of Faf.

RCB have managed to score 174. A score well led by their openers Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli. Two half-centurions provided them with a strong platform. Four fifties in the season for both the openers they got out in succession. Kohli first fell in the 17th and Faf followed him in the 18th. In between Maxwell went back for a golden duck. After Faf's wicket, the middle-order could only score 23 on 15 balls. So, PBKS need 175 to win this. Can they get it? Back with the reply.

Arshdeep has got Karthik now as Bangalore go 4 down. Karthik hit a four in the over on the off-side. But this bouncer angling in to him has forced him to go on the leg and he gifts a catch to deep backward square-leg.

And that would be the end of a wonderful knock of Faf du Plessis. This was a slower from Ellis as Faf wanted to clear the long-off. He gets a toe-end and Curran takes a comfortable one at the fence. So, all three RCB pillars are back now. Can they finish well?

Harpreet Brar has got the first wicket of Virat Kohli. He has got him caught behind as the keeper takes a wonderful catch. Hold on, he gets Maxwell on golden duck. He is on a hat trick. Dinesh Karthik comes and survives the hat-trick ball.

And Kohli has now got to a 50. A fifty in 40 balls for the other RCB opener. A decent knock by Kohli but he would now want to go big. 

And 100 is up for RCB in 11.4 overs. A 100-run stand by the two stalwarts of RCB. Kohli is closing in on a fifty.

Faf has hit a fifty and is batting really well. A 31-ball fifty for him and he is helping RCB set a solid platform. RCB have made 98 in the first 11 overs and are going well.

Powerplay ends and RCB are at 59/0 after 6 overs. Another brilliant start provided by these two. Rahul Chahar comes to bowl the 7th one and a tidy 4-run over by the leggie as we head to a time-out after 7 overs. RCB are at 63/0

And 50 partnership is up for RCB inside the powerplay. Faf is hitting sixes, while Kohli has also got a start. 

Faf has now broken the shackles and is talking with air. Two sixes in one over against Brar. One straight down the ground and other on the leg side. 

Kohli has hit three four in the innings so far. One through the covers in the second over and then a pull and a cut in the third over. RCB are at 22/0 after 3

A tidy 5-run over from Arshdeep Singh. He got a bit of swing and appealed for LBW on the 4th ball against Faf. But it was probably going down the leg.

Faf potentially can field today due to his rib issue, so he'll be playing as a impact player, switching with Vyshak. We would have batted first as well, got to do what we wanted, the surface could get slow, some scruff marks will aid the bowlers going deep into the match. Taking one match at a time, focussing on our own game, make the most of crunch situations. No other changes for us.
