Sharjah, United Arab Emirates: New Zealand offspinner Mark Craig had a career-best 7-94 as Pakistan was bowled out for 351 on a revised second day of the third test on Friday.
Play was abandoned on Thursday after the death of Australian batsman Phillip Hughes and the match was extended by a day.
New Zealand negotiated the one over before lunch and was 7-0.
Mohammad Hafeez, resuming at 178, missed out on his maiden double century and was out for 197 before Craig quickly wrapped up the innings.
There were no celebrations from New Zealand players because of Hughes' passing despite Pakistan losing seven wickets for only 70 runs after resuming at 281-3.
Neither Tim Southee nor Trent Boult bowled a short delivery with Hughes' death from a bouncer still fresh.
