PAK vs ENG 1st Test: England cricket team, who are touring Pakistan for a Test series after 17 years have been dealt with a major blow. The team's star all-rounder Liam Livingstone has been ruled out of the remainder of the Test series against Pakistan. The right-handed batter has sustained a right knee injury and will miss the next two Test matches.

The England Cricket Board on Monday released a statement and informed about Livingstone's injury. "England Men's all-rounder Liam Livingstone has been ruled out of the rest of the Test series against Pakistan with a right knee injury. He will return to the UK on Tuesday and commence rehab with the ECB and Lancashire medical teams respectively. At this stage, England have yet to make a decision to call up a replacement," ECB wrote in its statement.

Livingstone made his Test debut in the first match between England and Pakistan in Rawalpindi. The star batter scored 9 runs in the first innings in England's massive 657-run display. He hurt his right knee while fielding on the boundary on Day 2 of the Test. Livingstone went off the field and remained away in all of England's first innings' bowling. The 29-year-old came out to bat in the second innings but was not looking completely fit in his unbeaten 7-run knock.

The all-rounder underwent a scan on Sunday after which the extent of his injury surfaced. Meanwhile, England are yet to name Livingstone's replacement. England's speed gun Mark Wood is likely to come in for Livingstone after missing the first test due to a hip injury.

The second Test between the two teams begins on December 9 in Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan. Whereas, the third and final Test of the tour will begin on 17th December in National Stadium, Karachi.
