Dunedin: New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum won the toss and chose to bat against Sri Lanka in the sixth one-day cricket international at University Oval on Sunday.

Daniel Vettori was named to play his 284th match, replacing Nathan McCullum, and becoming New Zealand's most-capped player in one-day internationals. Kyle Mills returned after a lengthy injury layoff to play his first match of the series.

Sri Lanka also made two changes, naming Rangana Herath for Sachithra Senanayake and Dhammika Prasad for Nuwan Kulasekara. Lahiru Thirimanne will captain Sri Lanka for the second time in the absence of Angelo Mathews with a hamstring injury.

New Zealand leads the seven-match series 3-1.

The match will be played on the same pitch on which New Zealand scored 360-5 on Friday to beat Sri Lanka by 108 runs.

Lineups:

New Zealand: Brendon McCullum (captain), Martin Guptill, Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor, Grant Elliott, Corey Anderson, Luke Ronchi, Daniel Vettori, Kyle Mills, Mitchell McClenaghan, Trent Boult.
