ENG vs PAK: Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah has tested positive for Covid-19 and has been ruled out of the remaining matches against England, Pakistan Cricket Board said on Thursday. Shah was discharged from the hospital on Thursday after he suffered pneumonia.
Shah featured in one match against England and was rested in the other games. He was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, 27th of September due to a chest infection and high fever. PCB stated that Shah will is back in the team hotel and he will follow the Covid-19 protocols there. However, it is not confirmed whether Shah will travel with the team on Monday for the T20I tri-series in New Zealand.

The T20I tri-series will begin on October 7 with Pakistan taking on Bangladesh in the opening match before the boys in the green face the home team-New Zealand on October 8. The 19-year-old Shah featured in the first match against England, where he could not scalp a wicket. Ahead of the fifth T20I, Shah was admitted to the hospital and was asked to undergo different tests which also ruled him out of the fifth match. However, Pakistan has dealt with a big blow now with Shah not available for the final two T20Is.
In the fifth T20I, Pakistan defeated England in a thriller by 6 runs as the English side failed to chase 146. Aamer Jamal bowled the final over when 15 runs were required with Moeen Ali and David Willey out in the middle. After the first two dots, Ali hit a six but in the end, Jamal held his nerve to put Pakistan 3-2 up in the seven-match series
