Meet the top 10 T20I batsmen after World T20 2014

New Delhi: Any International tournament is a great opportunity for the players to stack up against one another. The recently concluded World T20 in Bangladesh was an excellent platform for the players to showcase their abilities in the shortest form of cricket. Now it is over, the official player rankings released by ICC are the best way to know who the top 10 batsmen are in T20 international cricket.Here's the list:10) Suresh Raina – 679 points (India)At no. 10 comes India's best T20 batsman Suresh Raina who despite of not having successful World T20 campaign makes it to the Top 10 list. He will be hopeful of regaining some consistency, especially with a large number of Indian batsmen all vying for a limited number of places.9) David Warner – 681 points (Australia)With just the difference of 2 points up, Aussie opener David Warner is at no. 9. He might be upset of not being able to take his team even in the semifinals of World T20, but he will definitely be encouraged by his teammates and fans for his crucial knocks and recent personal displays. 8) Ahmed Shehzad – 684 points (Pakistan)After the first T20 international century against the host Bangladesh by any Pakistani batsman in the recent World T20, Ahmed Shehzad makes it to the no. 8 position. He has shown enormous potential for Pakistan, and he continues to look impressive in all forms of the game. He is also the youngest ever cricketer to score a T20 ton.7) J. P. Duminy – 698 points (South Africa)Seemingly back in international cricket after some time away, J.P. Duminy has shown himself to be immensely capable in the shortest form of the game. His short yet crucial innings for the Proteas against India in the semifinal helped to put on a total of 172. With a number of recent good performances, it can be said that he is currently on top of his game.6) Faf du Plessis – 714 points (South Africa)The South African skipper who has played some aggressive innings in the World T20 especially against India in the semifinal puts him to the no. 6 position. After a decent run of form and taking the team to the World title, the batsman is at no. 5 position.4) Brendon McCullum – 777 points (New Zealand)With a huge margin of 52 points from 5th ranked Kusal Perera, the Kiwi skipper Brendon McCullum is the fourth best T20 batsman. The black caps may not be able to make their impact in Bangladesh, but the captain remains impressive in the shortest form of game.3) Alex Hales – 834 points (England)After scoring the first T20 international century for England against Sri Lanka was enough to put him at third position.
